  • Important Updates

    Please click HERE for an
    update from Fr. John,
     6/22/20

Weekend masses with a congregation will resume on 5/30/20. Social distancing, face masks, and attendance restrictions (33% of capacity) will be enforced.

Due to the mandatory attendance restrictions we are requiring parishioners to "reserve" seating so we can provide the best experience.

Please email or call the parish office or CLICK HERE to fill out a reservation form for this weekend's Masses.

The Full Archidiocese Phase II Guidelines can be found here.

Phase 2 begins on 5/30/20 and includes the following:

    - Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals continue with use of masks and social distancing as in Phase 1; with maximum attendance as follows: St. Augustine Church – 30 people; St. James Church - 80 people; St. Joseph Church – 100 people.
    - Beginning 6/15/20, the St. Joseph parish office will re-open from 9:00 am – 1:00pm on MWF. The re-opening of St. Augustine and St. James offices will be considered for possible July-August 2020, date TBA, based on staff availability and ability to safely implement cleaning/sanitizing protocols.
    - Visits to the sick/homebound/dying will continue as per guidelines listed in Phase 1, pending further guidance from the Archdiocese.
    - Parish meetings and ministries will continue remotely through August 2020; in person meetings with the priest/staff will be by appointment and decided on a case by case basis.
    - Appropriate signage regarding cleanliness will be visible in the three parishes.

  • Racial Justice

In "Building Bridges of Understanding and Hope," Baltimore Archbishop William E. Lori, Washington Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory, Wilmington Bishop W. Francis Malooly and Maryland's auxiliary bishops reflect upon the complex history of the Catholic Church in Maryland regarding racial justice and inequality, and call us forward through prayer, dialogue and action, including engagement in public policy initiatives.

  • Welcome to our Pastorate

The Catholic Parishes of South Washington County (CPSWC) joins together our three vibrant parishes to be a beacon of Christ's Light in our communities and beyond. Entrusted with this light at baptism, we go forth celebrating the sacraments, proclaiming the gospel, and serving the people of God. CPSWC offers both daily and weekend masses across our three parishes of St. Augustine, St. James, and St. Joseph's.
